Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from your other catnip products?

Catnip Craze is our straight-up, no-frills catnip experience — pure premium catnip in a resealable pouch. Unlike Super Zoomies (which blends seven herbs) or our infused toys, Craze is just the good stuff: high-quality, all-natural catnip grown in the USA and Canada.

How do I use it?

Sprinkle a small amount on a scratching post, toy, or in a clean area for your cat to enjoy. You can also rub it between your fingers to release more of the aromatic oils before offering it to your cat. Start with about a teaspoon — you can always add more.

My cat doesn't react. Is something wrong?

Not at all. About 30% of cats don't respond to catnip — sensitivity is genetic. Kittens under 6 months also typically don't respond yet. If your cat doesn't react, try silvervine or valerian root instead (we use both in our Super Zoomies blend).

How often can I give my cat catnip?

Every other day is the sweet spot. Catnip can lose its effect if cats are exposed too frequently — giving their senses a rest keeps the response strong. A quick session of 10-15 minutes is usually plenty.

How should I store it?

Keep the pouch sealed in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Properly stored, catnip stays potent for about a year. If it stops smelling strong, it's lost some of its punch — time for a fresh pouch.

Is it safe if my cat eats some?

Yes, catnip is non-toxic and safe in small amounts. Some cats prefer to eat it rather than roll in it. Excessive consumption can cause mild stomach upset, so just monitor portions. Not intended for human consumption.
