Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from your other catnip products?
Catnip Craze is our straight-up, no-frills catnip experience — pure premium catnip in a resealable pouch. Unlike Super Zoomies (which blends seven herbs) or our infused toys, Craze is just the good stuff: high-quality, all-natural catnip grown in the USA and Canada.
How do I use it?
Sprinkle a small amount on a scratching post, toy, or in a clean area for your cat to enjoy. You can also rub it between your fingers to release more of the aromatic oils before offering it to your cat. Start with about a teaspoon — you can always add more.
My cat doesn't react. Is something wrong?
Not at all. About 30% of cats don't respond to catnip — sensitivity is genetic. Kittens under 6 months also typically don't respond yet. If your cat doesn't react, try silvervine or valerian root instead (we use both in our Super Zoomies blend).
How often can I give my cat catnip?
Every other day is the sweet spot. Catnip can lose its effect if cats are exposed too frequently — giving their senses a rest keeps the response strong. A quick session of 10-15 minutes is usually plenty.
How should I store it?
Keep the pouch sealed in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Properly stored, catnip stays potent for about a year. If it stops smelling strong, it's lost some of its punch — time for a fresh pouch.
Is it safe if my cat eats some?
Yes, catnip is non-toxic and safe in small amounts. Some cats prefer to eat it rather than roll in it. Excessive consumption can cause mild stomach upset, so just monitor portions. Not intended for human consumption.

Sprinkled it everywhere trying to get a reaction but nothing. My cat is admittedly very selective, so take this review with that in mind.
As someone who has owned cats for over fifteen years, I know good catnip when I see it. This product is exceptional. The leaves are properly dried without being brittle or turning to dust. You can tell it's been carefully processed and packaged. My cats respond to it enthusiastically every single time, which tells me the potency remains consistent throughout the bag. I appreciate that it's sourced from USA and Canadian farms - knowing where my pet products come from is important to me. The 2oz quantity is just right for households with multiple cats. I use it to refresh old toys, reward good behavior, and occasionally just to give my cats some enrichment. The resealable feature actually works properly unlike some cheaper brands. This has become my go-to catnip brand and I'll continue reordering. Highly recommended for discerning cat parents!
Nothing wrong with the catnip from what I can tell. It's aromatic, looks fresh, comes in practical packaging. But my furball? Totally uninterested. She gave it a half-hearted sniff and went back to sleep. Your results may vary.
My cat LOVES silvervine and this good-sized bag does not disappoint. All I have to do is take the bag out & she INSTANTLY goes into a wide-eyed, almost spiritual reverence... I open the bag, letting her take a {{ first-whiff }} and it is like she has found her Nirvana... Sprinkle some & she is transported through the cycle of rebirth - a.k.a., the Zoomies :)
You can tell this is premium grade. My three cats fight over it and the resealable bag keeps it fresh between uses.
