My cat has strong opinions about toys, and most don't make the cut. This refillable jellyfish is clearly a favorite though. I catch her hunting it multiple times a day. Great purchase overall.
My cat absolutely adores this jellyfish toy! The dimensions are ideal for adult cats who like to kick and bite during playtime. The refillable compartment is a nice touch. However, I encountered two problems: the fabric ripped easily when removing the manufacturer's labels, and worse, tiny irritating fibers from the closure area embedded themselves in my skin - felt like tiny splinters. On the bright side, I contacted the seller and was blown away by their response time and willingness to send a replacement immediately. Their customer care really saved this purchase!
The biggest disappointment is the size of the catnip pouch and the difficulty in opening and resealing it. It is velcro and the short length makes it hard to open and catnip catches on the hooks and loops so it doesn't close well. The cats play with it some but not nearly as much as a smaller catnip mouse. On the positive side, the snake is well made and the tube of catnip is nice to have.
Most cat toys end up forgotten under the couch within hours. Not this one. My kitty actually seeks it out and pounces on it regularly. It's become her go-to entertainment option.
The refillable opening could definitely be bigger - it's kind of a pain to stuff the catnip in there. But honestly, watching my cat flip out over this toy makes it totally worth the minor inconvenience.
