My one gripe would be that the spot where you're supposed to add the catnip needs to be significantly wider. Other than that inconvenience, my baby absolutely adores this and it's become her constant companion.
The only downside is how narrow the opening is for adding fresh catnip - it's genuinely frustrating. Everything else about this purchase has been fantastic though, as my little one is absolutely head over paws for it.
My little one goes crazy for this crab! The quality surpasses other toys we've tried and it's remarkably resilient. The washability factor is fantastic for keeping things hygienic.
This crab is appropriately sized for bigger felines to really sink their claws into during playtime. The refillable feature is smart and convenient. There are a couple of problems I noticed, though. The material isn't as sturdy as I'd hoped - tore slightly when I was just removing the tags with scissors. The bigger issue was with the velcro closure on the catnip pocket. When I opened it to stuff in the catnip, some kind of irritating particles transferred to my fingers. Had that prickly, scratchy feeling like touching fiberglass. Not pleasant at all. But here's the thing - I emailed the company and they were incredibly responsive and helpful. Already sending out a replacement without any hassle. That's the kind of customer service that earns loyalty!
The size is honestly perfect - finally a toy that matches my large cat's energy! She can really wrap her paws around it. Love that you can open it up and add fresh catnip whenever needed. Two issues though: first, the stitching or fabric isn't very durable. Got a small tear just from snipping off the retail tags. Second problem was more annoying - when I went to fill the velcro pouch with catnip, something from that area got into my hands. Felt like tiny glass fragments, very prickly and irritating. I sent an email to the manufacturer explaining what happened, and I have to say, their response time and helpfulness was incredible. Replacement is already on the way. Major points for that level of service!
