The dimensions on this thing are perfect - finally a toy that matches my full-size cat's energy! Love that you can add fresh catnip whenever needed. Now for the downsides: just trying to snip off the attached tags resulted in the fabric tearing, which seems like poor quality control. Even more troubling, the velcro area where you insert the catnip released some sort of irritating fibers that felt like glass splinters in my fingers. Super uncomfortable. I emailed their support team and was genuinely impressed - they replied almost instantly and are already sending another one. That's how you keep customers happy!
The refill compartment is way too small and the velcro situation is just poorly thought out. Trying to open it without catnip getting everywhere is basically impossible, and once you do, good luck getting it to close back up securely. The cats interact with it sometimes but definitely prefer their other toys. On the upside, it's well constructed and having the catnip tube included was thoughtful.
I've bought countless toys over the years but this snake kicker is the real deal. Both of my cats are completely smitten with it and it's held up beautifully through intense play sessions.
This snake toy is large enough that my full-grown cat can properly wrestle and kick it. The ability to refresh the catnip is definitely appreciated. My concerns: the fabric tore when I carefully removed the attached tags, showing poor durability. More seriously, the area around the catnip opening shed irritating particles that got embedded in my fingertips - felt exactly like fiberglass splinters. I emailed the company and received an incredibly quick response with an offer to replace it immediately. Their customer support team is absolutely fantastic!
This toy deserves every star! My baby cat was constantly pouncing on any body part that moved. Since introducing this catnip-filled snake, she's found her true calling. The way she grabs it and kicks with her back feet is exactly what she was trying to do to my forearms. I appreciate the refill option since the catnip definitely makes a difference in her enthusiasm. Currently rotating three of them between bedrooms and living spaces. She's learning appropriate play targets early, which will save us both from future scratches when those claws get bigger!
